ODOT's smart-salt strategy

Wednesday, November 19, 2008

If the roads seem slicker blame the law of supply and demand. A severe winter nationwide last year has nearly doubled the price of road salt. And in some cases, there's no salt to be had. In order to conserve precious stock-piles the Ohio Department of Transportation is changing the way it salts the roads.

WKSU's Jeff St. Clair reports:

Listener Comments:

Oh well, perhaps this will keep the people who SUCK AT DRIVING off the roads. While at the same time preserving my car from that rust causing CRAP they pour onto the roads.
